There is a lot to do about health nowadays. There’s healthy (light) foods, loads of drinks that are supposed to be good for you. Bying them in the store however… not so good.
Those are usually filled with preservatives, colouring agents, salt and sugar. They need that stuff in it because otherwise they would.t stay fresh. Time to figure out what is healthy and what we can easily do ourselves. All you need is a weckpot, water, fruit, vergetables and herbs.
I cannot take full credit for this, there was this video on Facebook about different kinds of detox water and what they were good for. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t try it! Today I made my own variation and I love to share it with you. I will tell you what to put in, where it’s for, how long it will keep. The only thing I cannot do is let you have a taste of this goodie. The trying how it tasts is up to you!
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS DELICIOUS HEALTHY WATER.
Well, not much. You need a weckpot of one liter (or two), a liter of fresh water (tapped if possible otherwise bottled. One orange, One lemon, One lime and three branches of fresh mint. If you like your water spicy add a little bit of red pepper (like a half, without the kernels for little spicy and with kernels for more spicy.
- Get the weckpot
- Add the water
- Slize half an orange into slizes and quarter or half them (depending on the size of your orange) and add,
- Slize one lime into slizes and add,
- Slize half a lemon into slizes, cut them in half and add
- Take the mint leaves from the branches ans add.
- Close the jar, put in the fridge and let it soak for at least 5 minutes (more is better)
And there you go. You just made a very healthy, sugarfree and additive free drink in under 5 minutes! Perfect for a hot day as a refreshment. Good for detoxing and this perticular one…. very good to help you loose some weight!
